Review: FIFA World Cup Public Viewing<\/h1>\n

Judging by the atmosphere on Saturday at German Centre Shanghai, one could be forgiven for thinking the crowds were watching the match live at the stadium. Offering (almost) identical levels of excitement, there is clearly no question that being part of the German Centre Shanghai Public Viewing Event is fun. In a long lasting tradition the German Centre Shanghai organized a Public Viewing for all matches of the German team.<\/p>\n

Up to 400 Chinese, Germans and Internationals enjoyed together the authentic public viewing experience at German Centre Shanghai each match and cheered for the German Team \u201cDie Mannschaft\u201d.<\/p>\n

Christian Sommer, CEO of the German Centre Shanghai, and his band Shang High Voltage opened the event with a unique Rock n Roll performance to warm up the audience and set the right mood. As a result of the positive feedback from the audience Shang High Voltage continued to play on all three occasions.<\/p>\n

The lucky draw box was also initiated and guests were encouraged to leave their business cards to win the special price which is a hand-signed photograph from the World Cup in 1974. The photograph is signed by the world champions Franz Beckenbauer and Sepp Maier.<\/p>\n

Supported by our sponsors we also ensured a constant flow of beer and soft-drinks as well as a thorough supply of snacks and potato chips.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the German National Team hasn\u00b4t qualified for the next round, so that we have to wait another four years for the next World Cup Public Viewing event at German Centre Shanghai.<\/p>\n<\/div>
